Barbara's career has been  a varied one.  Her traditional roles have seen her as personal assistant, executive assistant, office manager and business manager, so she has extensive experience in admini-stration and administrative systems. 
    When a change in career path took her into small business consultancy, she studied for certificates in the areas of Human Resources, Business Administration and Workplace Training & Assessment.

    Barbara graduated as a High School teacher in  1984 majoring in Business Studies and English, and subsequently taught at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
    At about the same time, she became a freelance writer ... which ultimately led her into the fields of editing and publishing.

      

    Barbara has a psychic heritage thanks to her father and paternal grandmother's family, so it was inevitable that at some point she would become interested in subjects on the supernatural and the occult.  As a consequence of being gifted Barbara spent two years studying comparative religion. 

    A strong interest in alternative therapies began because Barbara was unable to use conventional cosmetics.  Over the years she has gained qualifications in Aromatherapy, Reiki (she is a master/teacher), Theta Healing, Pranic Healing and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).  Today, Barbara has a hybrid method of healing, unconsciously developed by combining and merging the best of each therapy.

    Today, Barbara's working life is a blend of traditional and non-
traditional roles:  she is business consultant, mentor, coach, writer, teacher, and healer.   No matter what she is doing, she always has the same end goal – that her clients be more empowered and self-reliant, so a major part of her work is assisting others to change their focus to their jobs and their lives.
